Frequently Asked Questions

What is Cornilia Lunt Park like?

Cornilia Lunt Park is situated steps away to the Evanston lakefront in the shade of old beautiful trees. Jeremy's tree will be planted here. There is even an old watering station left over from the days when Evanston was a horse and carriage town.

There is no covering or seating area. We recommend bringing a camping/folding chair or blanket if it is too difficult to stand for 60-90 minutes duration we expect for the memorial.

What if there is inclement weather?

If there is rain or snow please dress appropriately and bring an umbrella as there will be no covering. In case the weather is really bad we will move the Memorial to Bonnie Wilson's condo at 525 Grove Street in Evanston. Please check this webpage for further details as we get closer to October 1.

Do I have to bring a reading to share?

We would like to encourage anyone that would like to share a memory or reading to do so but it is not mandatory.

What if I prefer to just come to the Open House or Memorial?

All are welcome to both or either event.

Should I bring anything to the Open House?

There will be hors-d'œuvres and drinks --  Please  Contact Us if you have any further questions.

Parking

Plenty of parking is available around the lakefront area - be aware that there is a fee for non-Evanston residents via a mobile-pay app and pay stations. You may also find limited free street parking in the neighborhoods around the park and Bonnie's condo. Please keep your eyes open as some streets may have Permit Parking only during certain hours.
